Job Description:

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Develop and enhance solutions related to BI and Data warehouse requirements to turn data into knowledge in order to support the decision making process;

• Analyse, solve problems and communicate effectively and efficiently;

• Provide expert advise to Supervisor and Head of Department in current trends industry trends and standards as well as possible enhancements to existing solutions.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of reports from different sources of information ( Billing, ERP, CRM, Network, social networks, etc.)

• Translate business needs to technical specifications;

• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)

• Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)

• Create tools to store data (e.g. OLAP cubes)

• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting;

• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems;

• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems;

• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses;

• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects;

• Develop and update technical documentation;

• Ensure the functionality of the Microstrategy application (application is used for managing reports made available to clients);

• Train, mentor, coach and transfer knowledge to enhance existing knowledge or skills gaps

identified.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE (REQUIREMENTS):

• Experience with Windows Server operating systems;

• Experience in using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2008 tools , SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio 2008, MicroStrategy and Oracle PL / SQL;

• Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL;

• Knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence and Data Mining ,

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist with over 5 Years experience;

• Industry experience is preferred over 5 Years experience;

• Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling) and data mining

• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework

• Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, etc)

• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

• Experience in training, mentoring and coaching team members.
