Job Description:

o Assessment of the source and target environment.
o Information gathering of:
o Forest and domain structure, Domain controller placement, replication topology, existing forest, DNS/DHCP, ADCS, ADFS and ADRMS infrastructure, login Script and GPO details.
o Discover and capture current environment (E.g.: Assess the Dependent/Integrated Apps, Distribution Groups, Contacts, certificates, Public & Authentication Methods)
o Prepare Discovery Assessment report, Discovery Assessment report, Action log for Stake holders, checklist and templates.
o Planning of the AD domain services migration of 30K+ users, user groups and their corresponding laptops/desktops/workstations
o Identify user migration strategy and risks, dependencies and constraints.
o Create pilot batch (users from multiple locations) for migration & UAT based on sites and interdependency.
o Prepare and share SOPs for Service Desk and Hands & Feet support.
o Target peak migration velocity of 150 users per day and run parallel execution across other regions.
o Co-ordinate with IR for App migration.
o Prepare Daily checkpoint report.
o Prepare Weekly, Monthly Migration Progress & Final Migration report.
o Remove dependencies from source servers and enable decommission.
o Take timely signoffs from customer on completed tasks and activities (E.g., Documentation, Assessment & Migration).
o Prepare Project closure document, Setup guide, Run Book, and install manual.
o Hyper-care post migration and session to be provided to the customer.
o Should posses hands-on in using Quest Migration Manager Tool.
o Should posses knowledge in Discovery Tools: Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit, dcdiag, replmon, ADRAP, AD Topology Diagrammer
o Develop and enhance PowerShell scripts as needed.
o Should have knowledge in IDFIX Tool.
o Must possess good communications and writing skills, be organized, have ability to define and socialize new processes, able to effect change in a dynamic environment, comfortable working at many org levels, & must be team-oriented and performance-orientel
