Job Description:
- Performing database administration activities in a safe recoverable and professional manner that ensures optimal operation of all database environments
- Collaboration with Application Development teams to support Oracle Applications 11i and R12
- Performing capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning in collaboration with development resources system administrators and system architects
- Proposing solutions identifying tools and generating procedures to ensure an efficient consistent repeatable environment
- Maintaining security according to best practices and generating security solutions that balance auditor requirements with user requirements
- Participating in 24x7 on call rotation as required.
- Strong analytical skill and troubleshooting skill for day to day operations.
- Good exposure on RMAN ASM AD Utilities DB patching Refresh/cloning etc
- Good exposure in Shell scripting db & apps performance analysis etc Candidates will possess:
- Specific experience with Oracle Applications R12.0.x or higher and on AD utilities
- Proven experience with performance tuning capacity planning disaster recovery planning and testing
- Proven ability to work through SRs with Oracle Corporation technical support
- Demonstrated diagnostic skills
- Proven analytic skills and strong judgment
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively with others and share knowledge to ensure team success
- Experience with Fusion Middleware 11g AS10gR3 AS10gR2 OEM and/or RAC desired
