Roles & Responsibilities:
The UI/UX Lead will be responsible for designing, coding and testing Rich Internet Applications (RIA) using HTML5, CSS3, Java and JavaScript/Ajax frameworks. The successful candidate will be working with the Applications Development and Product Management teams to design and develop customer facing web applications. The UI/UX Developer will report to the Director, Product & Platform Development.
Essential Functions:
- Develop software application interface and elements using HTML 5, Javascript, XML, JSP, JAVA, .Net, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator among others
- Implement front-end business applications while working closely with developers to help generate requirements for backend development
- Provide documentation including help text, report samples, and screen samples
- Proficient in analyzing software requirements and documenting technical specifications for web applications / services
- Stay current on new technologies as they relate to innovations in web-based application development
- Work with other developers on the development team on the implementation of common frameworks and solutions
- Work with the development team to support and maintain existing production code in the field and develop and deliver new enhancements and products
- Work with User Experience Designers, Customers, Business Analysts, and Developers on implementing functional requirements of various web applications
- Interact with Quality Assurance staff during system testing phases of application development
- Minimum 5 years direct, professional experience developing front-end web interfaces
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Technology
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong Experience with HTML 5/CSS 3, JavaScript (AJAX, DOM, JSON)
- Java or .Net experience
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including design, testing, deployment, and documentation activities
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall and blended development methodologies
- Experience managing the maintenance and administration of pre-production code environments
- Experience in developing new systems and maintaining existing systems
- Experience in developing Responsive interface designs are must
- AngularJS, NodeJS and exposure to charting libraries is a plus
- Mobile development experience is a plus with exposure to cross platform development in PhoneGap and SenchaTouch
