We are seeking a senior-level performance engineer who will be responsible for design and development of software and performance measurement of complex storage system.
Responsibilities:
- Measure performance of various data paths in a low latency high-throughput storage system.
- Design, develop and unit test software for drivers, storage subsystem and platform
- Set-up performance test bed and create a variety of datasets for benchmarking or otherwise
- Analyze performance and test results. Automation is important
- Work with software and hardware engineers to isolate HW/SW issues
Skills:
- Ability to design, document, and implement software features in embedded networking products
- Excellent experience on block storage and file storage systems
- Should have deep understanding of Linux storage stack and file systems (SCST, LIO, LVM, VxVM, VxFS, ZFS, XFS, Lustre, GPFS), Snapshot, Clone and thin provisioning
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network design (routing, VLANs, high availability)
- Experience with performance measurements on complex SAN and NAS system.
- Hands on experience with C, C++, Perl, shell scripts.
- Good written and oral communication skills (English).
