Must Have:
- Strong SQL Server skills: Hands on experience on SQL Azure (Mandatory), SQL Server 2000/2005/2008/2012
- SQL Server administration (data/log files management, distributed setup, backup/recovery, tuning etc.)
- Strong understanding of Database concepts, SQL Server federation, SQL Server Data Sync, Replication, Distributed transaction management
- SQL Server performance tuning
- Strong understanding of difference between SQL Azure and on-premise SQL Server setup
- Good understanding of system tables and views
- Good understanding of cloud computing
- Knowledgeable about various tools to be used with SQL Azure
Nice to have:
- Physical design of a database cluster
- RAID/SAN design
- Data Modelling
