1. Should be good at Transact-SQL, able to write Stored Procedures, UDF and Triggers
2. Experience with either SQL 2005 or SQL 2008
3. Performance tuning of database objects
4. Working knowledge in Database Administration SQL Server Reporting
5. Working knowledge in creating and maintaining SSIS/DTS
6. Knowledge of UML and XML will be a plus
7. Knowledge of SSRS is a plus
