Job Location-Mumbai/Pune
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in Oracle Database Administration in large environments and teams
- Willing to work in mandatory 24x7 rotational shifts
- Excellent Communication Skills and Aptitude for learning
- Must have worked in a Unix Environment for majority of the work duration
- Must have excellent understanding of Oracle Database architecture, fundamentals and concepts
- Should have good understanding of ITIL and must adhere to policies and processes
Experience in the following areas
- Installation & Configuration of Oracle Software, Creation and Configuration of Database
- Monitor and manage database sessions, jobs and scheduled tasks
- Space Management - Monitoring, Tablespace creation, data file addition, resizing, moving
- Security & Privilege Management - Create and maintain users, privileges and roles, enable/disable database audits
- Understanding O/S level Clusters - Active Passive and Real Application Clusters (desirable)
- Experience in monitoring database performance, generate session trace, AWR and ADDM reports and should be able to do first level
- performance analysis for performance issues
- Cloning/Refresh of databases using RMAN, Export/Import, Expdp/Impdp
- Backup & Recovery using RMAN and other tools and methods like Hotbackup, BCV
- Writing SQL Scripts for DBA tasks and shell scripting
- Exposure to tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager is desirable
- Oracle Datagourd and any replication tools
- Interacting with international clients and participating in Severity 1 Bridge calls, weekly meetings
- Other General DBA Tasks
